We have very exciting news to share this Monday morning! Sarah Hueniken will be our featured guest presenter FRIDAY evening February 6th at Theater In The Wood! Sarah is a total crusher! From 5.13 rock climbs to WI6 and M13, nothing stops this lady! She was the first North American Woman to climb M11 and M12 and is one of only 10 women in Canada to hold her ACMG Rock and Alpine Certification! She has completed first ascents of Schacun (5.10+ M5, 19’570 feet), an unclimbed peak in Western China, ice routes Perseverance and La Vagane in Iceland, and Gurrls Day (WI5) in the O’Hara Region of The Canadian Rockies.
Getting psyched? There’s MORE! In addition to giving a kick ass show Friday night, Sarah will also be teaching clinics! On Saturday, Sarah will be instructing The Women’s Steep Ice Clinic and Sunday she will be teaching Outdoor Research’s Steep Ice clinic!
Currently, Sarah lives in Canmore, Alberta were she guides year round. She feels fortunate to call the Canadian Rockies home with endless adventures right at her backdoor! As an ACMG Rock and Alpine Guide, she loves sharing climbing with others!
Sarah is supported by the MWV Ice Fest Sponsor Outdoor Research! You won’t want to miss this show! Friday night February 6th at the Theater in The Wood, just 5 miles up the road from IME. We can’t wait!
