The staff at the Mount Washington Valley Ice Festival couldn’t be more excited for Sarah Hueniken, our Friday night headline presenter, on her recent climb of Niagra Falls. As one of the strongest winter climbers in North America, nevermind that she is likely the strongest female climber, it is a tremendous privilege for our ice festival to host her.

This past Tuesday Sarah, an Outdoor Research athlete, became the first woman to climb Niagra Falls on the US/Canada border. As a recent interview on the OR website showed us, this is just one of many incredible and historic accomplishments made this season by the climber.

Having added so many notches to her belt already this season, Sarah will no doubt have trouble choosing which exploits to talk about. No matter what she chooses, you can be sure that it will have been groundbreaking.
