Happy holidays everyone! Today we welcome back our Vermonters Andrea Charest and Tim Farr. Andrea is Petra Cliffs’ Co- Owner and Jill of All Trades. She loves teaching folks how to ice climb and takes pride in imparting knowledge and experience people will carry with them for the rest of their lives! She’s got a smile that will keep you warm on those cold days out there and the skills to teach you everything you need to know! Recently she has been competing nationally in some of the nations toughest climbing competitions; Ouray Mixed Climbing Comp and the Bozeman U.I.A.A. North American Ice Climbing Championships. Interested in climbing with Andrea? She is currently scheduled to teach Ice Climbing for Rock Climbers on Friday, Ladies Steep Ice on Saturday and CAMP’s Intro to Steep Ice on Sunday.
Tim has been passionate about the outdoors his entire life. He has been instructing and guiding in several disciplines since 2005 and has a strong passion for challenging and remote adventures. From long and strenuous coastal kayaking trips and mountaineering expeditions to light and fast alpine climbing trips, Tim is comfortable in a multitude of realms. He now calls Vermont home and can often be found running around Smugglers’ Notch in every season learning all its nooks and crannies. He has been guiding year round for Petra Cliffs for several years and enjoys the opportunity to take folks out climbing in one the the Northeast best states. Climb with Tim for Ice climbing 101 and CAMPS Thin Ice.
We love our Vermonters!
