Designed to be used hard in rugged environments, our ultralight Porter and Ice Packs offer precisely what alpine climbers need and nothing more. Built from Dyneema® fabrics using cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, our climbing packs meet the exacting requirements of the world’s top alpinists.
The Porter is a rope and rack hauling machine with extensive daisy chain attachment points and an optional detachable pocket. Select any of three available volumes and bring as much or as little gear as you want. The 2400 cubic inch (40L) rules day trips, quick rock routes and ultralight overnights. In the 3400 cubic inch (55L) size this alpine pack is enough to get you to—and up—almost any wall. For long approaches and self-supported ventures in the backcountry, size up to the 4400 cubic inch (70L) size.
If higher altitudes and tool-worthy exposure are in the works, the Ice Pack adds reinforced crampon and ice axe attachments to the Porter’s ultra-minimalist offerings. The 2400 handles helmets, extra layers and gear for dawn-to-dusk strikes on your local ice. Think 3400 for overnights and extended pushes. For mountaineering on any real scale, go 4400.
