Andrew Krause

Andrew grew up as a competitive runner and climber then quickly fell in love with many outdoor pursuits. After guiding in New England for 8 years, Andrew made their way to the West coast in search of new mountains and experiences. Now Andrew runs the circuit guiding around the West coast Spring on Denali, Summer in the Cascades, Fall in Red Rocks and Winter in Tahoe. They will always be grateful to the many people of New England truly where the definition of salt of the earth comes from, blue collar to the core they hold a special place in Andrew’s heart and they hope to return permanently some day. Andrew often gets asked about what makes them a good expedition partner and they say “I guess it would be my lack of sense of smell, tolerating tent odors is a huge win in the expedition world.”

Andrew’s spirit animal is a house cat and their favorite trail snack is sour patch kids…. looking at you course participants… Andrew has a passion for education and truly believes the outdoors are meant for everyone. They are so excited to be back in New England and to the best Ice Fest in the country!!!
