Patrick began his ice climbing career climbing with an IMCS guide in December 2005. Ever since then, he’s organized his life (and shirked work duties) around winter climbing. Patrick enjoys steep pillars, thin smears, and scrappy Scottish-style mixed climbing. Lately he’s been dabbling in the world of figure-4s and roof climbing, but we’ll see if that psych can survive the formation of pillars and ephemeral drips this winter. When he’s not wasting good rock climbing days getting ready for winter, Patrick spends time with his exceedingly patient and forgiving wife, and an extremely goofy black lab.
