Sam has always been a climber by nature. They started as 3-year-olds climbing the banister and trees of their home and quickly progressed to rock. Top Roping outside since the age of 13 with Scouts, as a youth climbing leader, the passion grew quickly. Progressing from sport, trad, and then Ice and Alpine in the Northeast and other ranges across the US. While attending College in Boston, North Conway and the White Mountains became a beloved destination where they cut their teeth on New England Classics.
Now working as an Outdoor Education Teacher in Connecticut, Sam is passionate about sharing the outdoors and particularly with LGBTQ+ people and other marginalized communities.
